Big Brother Recap: Eviction 6
Daniele is on a mission to rid the Big Brother house of "zombie" Brendon, but is he actually a dead man walking? If he is, that means Jeff and Jordan will have to perhaps officially bring one of their alliances to an end. Plus: Shelly's daughter is back with a whole new boatload of cuteness. So, who was evicted? Let's find out.But first: Because Big Brother already paid a camera crew to film Shelly's husband and daughter for the call from home, Shelly is also this week's eviction-show spotlight contestant. The clips focus on the family's viewing parties, as well as Shelly's tirade for the truth. Shelly worries that her daughter Josie is learning the wrong lessons by watching her mom play the game, and Josie basically confirms it. "She kind of needs to stop lying," Josie says. Too cute.Back to the game: Brendon clearly is not happy to be chosen as Daniele's replacement nominee. "I did not fight my way back in just to get evicted again," he says in the diary room. "Nobody will vote to evict me twice." Bold words, friend. Bold. Meanwhile, based on Daniele's zombie speech, Shelly is confident that she is not the target and that even though she remains on the block, she will be safe. Rachel, catty as ever, is mad at Shelly for smiling when Brendon became the replacement nominee. "Shelly had this evil grin," Rachel tells Brendon. "It was so....evil." Well said, crybaby!Brendon tries to calm the sobbing Rachel, who insists that Brendon deserves to be in the house. She further blames herself that he is in danger because she didn't win head of household. White Knight Brendon insists that he came back in the house to remind Rachel that she can win, with or without him. Aw, Bukie! On that note, Rachel again turns fierce, asking the all important question: Are Jeff and Jordan going to vote to keep Brendon? It is indeed the question of the night. Brendon assumes that since Jeff and Jordan were former alliance members, he has their two votes along with Rachel's. So, he thinks winning over Adam or Porsche is enough to keep him in the game. (Either the rest of the house is clueless to Jeff and Jordan's side alliance with Shelly, of Brendon is just stupid.) But Brendon gives it his best shot: He tells Adam that he is on Daniele's hit list because he's a male. Further, he suggests that Adam should evict Shelly because as long as Brendon is in the house, he will remain the target. Adam agrees that it's better "to have a target in front of me than an ally behind me."Meanwhile, Rachel, who is always ready to "fight for my man" works to secure a vote for Brendon from Porsche. Porsche makes it clear that voting to keep Brendon last time did her no good and she's not interested in playing that game again. With Jeff and Jordan hanging in the balance, Daniele decides to reach out to them. Her purpose is two-fold: She wants to make them feel comfortable enough to vote out Brendon, but she's also hoping to broker a deal that will keep her safe should Jeff or Jordan win HOH. They all agree that competitors need to win and Daniele makes it clear that she was wrong for trying to backdoor Jeff a few weeks back. She promises that she will do anything she can to work with them, but her diary room comments reveal that she's most likely blowing smoke until she no longer has to. It's the right move either way, as Jeff says he's leaning Daniele's way. Jeff and Jordan confirm to Shelly that they won't vote against her.Sensing they might not have the votes, Brendon and Rachel ask Jordan what she plans to do. She said she will vote to keep Brendon if he secures Adam or Porsche as a swing vote. She promises to give Brendon a heads up if they plan to vote him out, but she says she won't make more enemies by voting against the house and setting up a tie-breaker situation. (Dani would surely still evict Brendon anyway.)Jeff says the same, which upsets Rachel, who insists if the shoe was on the other foot, she and Brendon would vote to keep Jeff regardless of what the house wanted. Jeff tells Rachel what's done is done, and if she wants to keep working with him, she's got to lose her bad attitude. "Worst. Alliance. Ever," Rachel whines. So, as expected, when it comes time for the votes, things shake out pretty much how we expected. Brendon - who vows to dedicate the next five years of his work to finding a cure for cancer at U-C-L-A! - is evicted for the second time this summer by a 5-1 vote. But it's not all bad news: He is the first member of this season's jury, and he vows to chose the best competitor as the winner.Brendon's goodbye messages were the best this season. Daniele and Kalia basically laughed in Brendon's face while Jeff said he hopes this time Brendon left an instruction manual for how to deal with Rachel. Even though she makes him crazy, he vows to look after her. Rachel promises she is going to go farther than Brendon did last year and that she has found her inner strength. (No more tears, then?)Unfortunately, for the second week in a row, the show ends before the new HOH is crowned. For that we'll have to wait until Sunday. But what did you think of Thursday's show? Happy to see Brendon leave (again)? Who do you want to win HOH? And who do you think will win the whole game? Vote in our poll and share all your comments below. show less

Watch New Funny Girl Lauren Ambrose Lose on Star Search
If Lauren Ambrose — the Six Feet Under star who was officially anointed Broadway’s new Funny Girl — didn’t seem as obvious a choice for the role of Fanny Brice as Lea Michele, now you can stop second-guessing: Footage of Ambrose on Star Search has surfaced, and Ed McMahon directly endorsed her stardom. Get ready for the growliest rendition of “Dancing in the Street” you’ve ever heard. Sweet music! First of all, Katrina Abrams pulled a jackass move with “God Bless the Child”; everyone knows that when children sing gritty blues standards, adults have no choice but to weep uncontrollably and vote “4 STARS” like a hyperventilating Leonard Maltin. Second, no one can deny the spice of Lauren’s freckled soul. Obviously, the phrase “Don’t fo’-get the motor city!” is best sung by a gyrating, redheaded preteen. Common sense. Hopefully the inevitable Funny Girl cinematic remake will garner her more than three stars; maybe it’ll also garner her half an Oscar, like it did with Streisand! [via @JarettSays]

Universal Makes Two-Year Cope With Robert Zemeckis' ImageMovers
Universal has closed a 2-year start looking creating cope with Robert Zemeckis and the ImageMovers shingle. ImageMovers will remain in its current headquarters and won't be in line with the Universal lot. There does not seem like specific movie that Zemeckis can make that triggered the offer rather studio brass just thought about being running a business together. Zemeckis and partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey were built with a rather unceremonious exit from Disney, closing its Marin County animation facility after which watching the Zemeckis-created performance capture film Mars Needs Moms flop badly in the box office. Zemeckis has devoted themself towards the three dimensional performance capture format, but that appears to possess run its course. Every studio is competing to possess Zemeckis direct an active action film, despite the fact that the galleries realize that his company deal is an extremely wealthy one. He's the man, in the end, who directed Cast Away, Forrest Gump, and he's accountable for the rear Towards The Future franchise which was huge for Universal. Zemeckis continues to be pointed out as you possibly can director on several projects such as the Vital drama Flight, that Denzel Washington continues to be pointed out as you possibly can star.
